What does a full set of nails mean??

I have never had acrylic nails. I am planning to get them done tonight..can anyone suggest how should I choose the nail parlour? are there any side effects? What does a full set of nails mean??
A full set means you are getting all of your nails done the first time. As opposed to getting a ';fill'; or a ';rebase'; where they just fill in the existing acrylic nails where they have grown out from your nail bed. A lot of nail salons are the same, definitely choose one where they sterilize all of their equipment and preferably use different equipment for each client. Usually the more expensive, the better the quality and the cleaner they are. And there shouldn't be any side effects assuming that all of the equipment is clean and you have an experienced nail technician. What does a full set of nails mean??
6 ,8 , 10 , and 16 penny common nails.

4, 6, 8 , and 10 penny finish nails will get you started , but it's not a full set .
get the white tip nails. They are nice and you can polish over them when you get tired of white tip. I usually get a small size because I type a lot. They are much more comfortable.

The only bad parts about fake nails, is IF they break, it hurts like hell. Food gets stuck under, and you will need a fill in about 2 weeks. BUt other than that, its worth it. They are very pretty and clean looking. Surprinsingly, gyus always compliment my nails.
Okay a full set of nails is when they have put the entire set of nails on. I would choose a place that has a good reputation and you have seen nails they do and like them... I don't really recommend the little shops like in the mall or places like that I would go to a salon, you will pay a little more but they will look ten times better! There usually aren't really any side effects, but sometimes they lift really soon after getting them and they can be a pain to keep filled. Also when you take them off be sure to soak them in acetone because that melts the acrylic... when you just rip them off you will usually loose the top layer of your nail.
I have gels. It's a permanent french manicure. They are pink and white and always look beautiful. Also, there is no drying time!
